Creating virtual world from real world data.
The task is to use laser and camera data measured by a robot, and construct a world model to multi-user 3d virtual world called RealXtend. Work includes polygon extraction and optimization from laser measurements, object texture transformation from camera to objects, and live interfacing to opensimulator. At the end, the team will use Mörri robot for collecting data from real world to virtual world.
